Marketplace data
We use information to coordinate cleaning services.
Hometress connects customers with independent cleaning professionals, so the policy explains what each side may need to share for booking, support, payments, and safety.
Legal - Privacy policy
How Hometress handles data as a marketplace for home cleaning: customers, independent cleaning professionals, bookings, payments, service photos, support, and communications.
At a glance
Marketplace data
Hometress connects customers with independent cleaning professionals, so the policy explains what each side may need to share for booking, support, payments, and safety.
Home details
Door codes, parking notes, pet notes, room details, and service preferences are used to help complete a booking, not to create unrelated marketing profiles.
Payments
Hometress may receive transaction status, payment identifiers, refund records, dispute data, and payout status, but should not store full card numbers or raw bank credentials.
Content map
The structure mirrors the Terms page so the legal surfaces tell one consistent story: Hometress provides the platform layer while independent cleaning professionals perform accepted services.

Policy text
This Privacy Policy applies to the Hometress website, booking tools, app experiences, customer support channels, cleaner onboarding, payment flows, and related services.
The mobile disclosures below describe Hometress: Hire Pro Cleaners, our iOS app for customers in the United States.
It covers visitors, customers, cleaner applicants, independent cleaning professionals, support contacts, and people whose information is provided as part of a booking, such as property managers, access contacts, household members, or guests.
We collect information you provide directly, such as name, email, phone, service address, booking details, home size, selected rooms, add-ons, access instructions, pet notes, cleaning preferences, support messages, reviews, and issue reports.
For cleaner applicants and independent cleaners, we may collect contact details, profile information, work history, eligibility details, service areas, availability, identity or background-check status, tax or payout status, and records needed to support marketplace operations.
Our website collects technical information such as device and browser data, IP address, referral URL, page activity, approximate location, cookies, analytics events, error logs, and security signals. Mobile collection is described separately below.
The mobile app uses Supabase for account authentication and storage of account details, saved service addresses, bookings, and uploaded service photos. Booking and account information can include structured home details, pet information, and cleaning-product preferences you provide. You can sign in with email and password, or use the Apple or Google sign-in options when available. With Apple or Google sign-in, authentication information and the name or email made available by your chosen provider are used to create or access your Hometress account.
The app uses the service address you enter to arrange cleaning; it does not request device GPS or location permission. When address autocomplete is available, the address text you type and your selected suggestion are sent through Hometress to Google Places to suggest and complete an address. A service address is different from your device's current location.
Google handles autocomplete requests under its own privacy practices, including request logging and use for product improvement, security, and support; retention varies with its business needs.
We use information to provide the Hometress platform: quoting, matching, booking, scheduling, service reminders, customer support, cleaner coordination, receipts, refunds, disputes, fraud prevention, trust and safety, quality review, and account management.
We use account identifiers, name, email, phone, city or service area, and booking history shared between the app and our customer records to manage referral programs, including codes, status, and credits. We may also use this information to select audiences for Hometress marketing messages and measure campaigns and referral programs at the account level. We use your selected city to personalize local stories in the app.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to improve pricing, service areas, product design, cleaner availability, customer support, and operational performance.
When a booking is accepted, the assigned Cleaning Professional may receive job-relevant details such as customer name, service address, arrival window, service checklist, access instructions, parking notes, pet notes, and customer communications needed to complete the work.
Customers may see cleaner profile details such as display name, profile photo, service area, ratings, availability, badges, booking status, and support-approved notes.
We also share information with vendors that help us operate the platform, including hosting, database, storage, payment, messaging, analytics, support, security, background-check, identity, accounting, and legal providers.
Hometress may use Stripe or another payment provider to process payment setup, charges, deposits, tips, refunds, invoices, disputes, fraud checks, and payment records.
For cleaner payouts, the payment provider may collect identity, tax, bank, payout, ownership, or verification information directly from cleaners or their representatives. Hometress may receive connected-account status, payout status, tax status, and transaction metadata so we can operate the marketplace.
Hometress should not store full card numbers, CVC codes, or raw bank credentials. Payment method details should be handled by payment-provider tools designed for that purpose.
In the mobile app, Stripe's embedded PaymentSheet collects payment details directly for cleaning-service payments. Hometress does not store the full card number or CVC entered there, but receives payment identifiers, status, and limited payment-method details. This is still collection of payment information through the app's native payment tools.
Stripe's mobile payment tools also collect analytics about their use and device characteristics and interaction signals for fraud prevention, payment security, and product improvement. Payment information and interactions with these tools can be linked to you or your device; they are not necessarily anonymous. These uses are separate from Hometress storing raw card details.
Before/after photos, issue photos, damage photos, or quality-review photos may be used to verify service, resolve disputes, review claims, support the White Glove Guarantee, and protect both customers and cleaners.
Photos from a home can contain sensitive household context. Hometress limits access to operational purposes and should require a separate permission path before using service photos for marketing.
Customers can ask Hometress to review or remove a marketing photo by contacting support.
Adding service photos in the app is optional. Photo-library access lets you select images to attach to a booking for preparation, service delivery, or support. Where a photo-download option is offered, saving it to your device requests permission to add it to your photo library. Providing a service photo does not grant permission to use it for marketing.
We may send booking confirmations, arrival updates, receipts, reminders, account messages, support replies, and service-related notices by email, phone, SMS, or push notification.
Marketing messages require an opt-in or another lawful basis. You can opt out of marketing messages without losing necessary transactional or service messages.
SMS marketing consent is separate from service texts. On the booking review step it is its own unchecked, optional checkbox that reads: “Yes, text me Hometress offers, promotions and reminders to rebook at the number above. Optional and not required to book. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help.” On a call, a team member asks two separate questions and records each answer, the date, and who recorded it: first whether we may text about your bookings (confirmations, arrival updates, receipts), and then, only if you want them, whether you also agree to occasional offers, promotions and reminders to rebook. A yes to the first never implies a yes to the second. The exact wording is published at hometress.com/sms-consent.
Text STOP to any Hometress message to stop marketing texts, or HELP for help. Message frequency varies with your booking activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Mobile opt-in data and text-message consent are not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing.
If you enable mobile push notifications and device registration succeeds, an Expo push token is stored with your Hometress account so notifications can be sent to that device through Expo and the device's notification service. You can change notification permissions in your device settings.
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, booking flow state, preferences, analytics, security, fraud prevention, and conversion measurement.
If Hometress uses advertising pixels, retargeting, or cross-context behavioral advertising, the website should provide any required opt-out or preference controls before those tools are activated at scale.
The current iOS app does not include a third-party advertising SDK. The website's cookie and advertising descriptions do not mean those website tools are embedded in the native app. If you open a website from the app, that website's privacy practices apply.
The app includes Sentry for crash, error, and performance diagnostics. Reporting is enabled only in a release build configured with a Sentry reporting address; it is disabled in development builds and when that configuration is absent. When enabled, diagnostics can include error details, app and device information, a device installation identifier, and performance events used to investigate failures and improve reliability. Reports can be associated with that installation identifier and are not necessarily anonymous. Stripe's payment analytics and fraud-prevention collection are described in the payments section above.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, vendor controls, payment-provider tokenization, and operational limits on sensitive home, access, photo, and payout data.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide services, operate accounts, handle disputes, prevent fraud, comply with tax/accounting/legal obligations, resolve claims, and improve the platform. Some records may be retained after account deletion where required or reasonably necessary.
You can request access, correction, deletion, marketing opt-out, account deletion, or a review of information associated with your Hometress account by contacting us.
We may verify your identity before completing a request. Some deletion requests may be limited by booking history, payment records, tax records, fraud prevention, disputes, safety issues, legal obligations, or active support matters.
In the mobile app, open Account > Delete account and confirm the request. Active bookings, unresolved payments, disputes, or payment processing that still needs to be resolved can prevent deletion until those matters are addressed. If deletion cannot finish, the app displays an error; you can retry or contact care@hometress.com for help.
When account deletion completes, your app sign-in is disabled. Your app profile name and email are replaced with placeholders; phone, city, preferences, and referral code are cleared. Saved-address details and booking addresses are replaced or cleared, booking notes and selections are cleared, and app push tokens and stored profile and booking photos are removed.
Shared customer records, including name, email, phone, and links to your app account, can remain identifiable after in-app deletion, as can financial and audit records. In-app deletion does not automatically remove these records or opt you out of email marketing. Contact care@hometress.com to request review or removal of remaining personal information or to opt out of marketing.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or cancel a cleaning booking. You can revoke photo-library and notification permissions in your device settings; doing so affects those features and does not itself erase information already provided. For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests described in this policy, contact care@hometress.com.
Hometress operates in markets including Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Washington. Additional state privacy, consumer protection, biometric, breach-notification, or health-data rules may apply depending on where you live, where service occurs, and what information is collected.
If Hometress collects sensitive, biometric, or health-adjacent data in the future, we will add any required notices, permissions, retention rules, or state-specific disclosures before using that data.
Questions about this policy, your information, or a privacy request can be sent to care@hometress.com. Hometress may add a dedicated privacy inbox as the marketplace grows.

Terms alignment
The Terms describe Hometress as a marketplace and referral platform. This Privacy Policy uses the same model: independent cleaners see job details only as needed, customers see cleaner profile details, and payment/photo/support data is handled for platform operations.
