What a House Cleaning Costs in Philadelphia, Line by Line (2026 Receipt Breakdown)

A cleaning price is easier to trust when you can see how it was built. As of September 25, 2026, the published Hometress catalog prices every Philadelphia house cleaning the same way: a base price for the tier, a line for bedrooms, a line for bathrooms and a line for the home's size band, then any add-ons, then any recurring discount, then sales tax at checkout. The cleaning chains' blogs we reviewed for this post publish no current prices at all. Ours are below, with the arithmetic.

This post builds the receipt for three example homes on all four tiers, shows the recurring discount math, and lists what each of the 10 add-ons costs. For the wider factors behind cleaning prices, our guide to home cleaning costs in Philadelphia covers those.

How much a house cleaning costs in Philadelphia, per visit

As of September 25, 2026, a one-time Hometress cleaning in Philadelphia is priced at $220 to $490 before sales tax for the three example homes below, depending on the tier and the size of the home. A 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath rowhome is $275 for a Standard clean and $360 for a Deep clean, supplies included. Recurring plans take 5%, 10% or 15% off every visit, starting with the first. A first-cleaning offer in the published catalog currently takes up to 10% more off the first visit on any plan.

Home (one-time visit)StandardDeepMove-in / move-outDream Home
1 bed · 1 bath, Cozy band$220$305$340$380
3 bed · 1.5 bath rowhome, Spacious band$275$360$395$435
4 bed · 2.5 bath, Large band$330$415$450$490

These figures come from the same pricing function and published catalog the booking form charges from. Our Philadelphia house cleaning cost page prices the same three homes live, each time the page loads. Both show prices before the first-cleaning offer, which is covered with the recurring plans below.

The receipt, line by line

Every receipt starts from the tier's base price and adds three lines for the home. Here is the arithmetic once, for the 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath rowhome in the Spacious band (up to 3,000 square feet on the booking form), booked as a one-time Standard clean:

  • Standard base: $170
  • 3 bedrooms: +$45
  • 1.5 baths: +$30
  • Spacious home: +$30
  • Service line: $275, before sales tax

The bathroom line counts half baths, so adding a powder room moves a home from the 1 bath line (+$25) to the 1.5 baths line (+$30). The Cozy band, up to 2,500 square feet, adds $0 and prints no line at all, because the tier price already covers it. So if your rowhome is under 2,500 square feet, it sits in Cozy, and the same Standard receipt is $245.

Receipt for a one-time Standard clean of a 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath rowhome in the Spacious band: base $170 plus $45 for bedrooms, $30 for bathrooms and $30 for size equals $275. On a recurring plan the same clean is $261.25 every 4 weeks, $247.50 every 2 weeks and $233.75 weekly, before sales tax.One Standard clean, line by line3 bed · 1.5 bath rowhome · Spacious band · per visit, before sales taxBase$1703 bedrooms+$451.5 baths+$30Spacious+$30= $275 one-timeThe same clean on a recurring plan, every visitOne-time · no discount$275.00Every 4 weeks · 5% off · saves $13.75$261.25Every 2 weeks · 10% off · saves $27.50$247.50Weekly · 15% off · saves $41.25$233.75

The three home lines are the same dollars on every tier. Only the base changes, so moving any home from Standard to Deep adds $85, from Deep to Move-in / move-out adds $35, and from Move-in / move-out to Dream Home adds $40.

What each tier adds: 40, 50, 60 and 70 checklist items

The four tiers are a chain, each one the tier before it plus 10 checklist items. Standard is 40 items, 10 each for the entire house, the bathroom, the bedroom and the kitchen. Deep is "Standard plus 50% more cleaning time", with items such as "Deeply Scrub & Disinfect Bathtub / Showerhead" and "Wipe Down Major Appliances Exterior (2 Max)". Move-in / move-out is "Deep plus 100% more cleaning time", adding "Clean Inside of Refrigerator (must be clear)", "Clean Interior Windows (6 max)" and "Spot-Clean Baseboards (30-Mins)". Dream Home is "Move plus 150% more cleaning time", adding "Change Bedsheets (2 bedrooms included)" and "Laundry Wash & Dry (2 Loads)".

Four Hometress tiers as a ladder: Standard $170 with 40 checklist items, Deep $255 with 50, Move-in or move-out $290 with 60, and Dream Home $330 with 70. How a recurring plan changes the receipt

A recurring plan takes a percentage off the whole service line, add-ons included: 5% every 4 weeks, 10% every 2 weeks and 15% weekly. The discount applies from the first visit, not the second. For the rowhome's Standard clean:

PlanPlan discountPer visitFirst visit, with the first-cleaning offer
One-time0%$275.00$247.50
Every 4 weeks5%$261.25$235.13
Every 2 weeks10%$247.50$222.75
Weekly15%$233.75$210.38

The math is one multiplication: $275 × 0.90 = $247.50 for every 2 weeks. Checkout charges to the cent, so $247.50 is the exact service line, before sales tax. Our cost page rounds these up to the next whole dollar ($262, $248 and $234), so a quoted price never undercuts the charge.

The first-visit column is lower because, as of September 25, 2026, the published catalog also carries a first-cleaning offer of up to 10% off, applied after the plan discount on any plan, one-time included. On the every-2-weeks plan that is $247.50 less $24.75, or $222.75 for the first visit.

What the 10 add-ons cost

Add-ons are flat prices added to the service line, and each one lengthens the visit by about the time shown. Because they sit inside the service line, a recurring discount comes off them too: an inside-oven add-on on the rowhome's every-2-weeks plan costs $31.50 a visit, not $35.

Add-onPriceAdds about
Clean Inside Cabinets$3035 minutes
Clean Inside Fridge$3525 minutes
Clean Inside Oven$3530 minutes
Organize Clothes Clutter (30-mins)$3030 minutes

Pet Shed Removal$2520 minutes
Clean Interior Windows (6 Max)$6035 minutes
Sweep Finished Basement$3520 minutes
Clean Finished Basement (30-mins)$5530 minutes
Wash Dishes$2515 minutes

One comparison is worth running before you stack add-ons. A Deep clean of the rowhome with inside oven, inside fridge, inside cabinets, interior windows and the finished basement comes to $575: $360 plus $215 of add-ons. The Move-in / move-out tier already includes all five of those tasks, plus five more such as interior doors and baseboards, for $395. Its fridge and cabinet items say "must be clear", meaning emptied first.

Everything else that can appear on the receipt

  • Arrival window. The standard 2-hour window adds nothing. A 5-hour flexible window takes $10 off, an all-day window takes $15 off, and a locked priority slot adds $15.
  • Coupon. If you have one, it comes off after the plan discount and the first-cleaning offer.
  • Sales tax. Added at checkout on the service line, including any arrival-window change.
  • Tips. A tip for your cleaner is optional, on the payment step. If parking at your home is paid, the form also offers an optional tip toward the meter. Neither is taxed.
  • Minimum. The catalog sets a $125 minimum for the service line before tax. Every home in this post is well above it.

There is no line for supplies or equipment. They come with the visit.

Questions about the price

Does the price include cleaning supplies?

Yes. Professional, eco-friendly products and equipment come with every visit, and there is nothing for you to stock. Plant-based, low-fragrance products and HEPA-filter equipment are the default, not an upsell. If you have a sensitivity or a preferred product, note it when you book.

Is a tip included in the price?

No, and none is expected. The price is complete on its own. The payment step has an optional tip card with Skip as the first choice. If you do tip, it goes entirely to your cleaner.

What if my home is bigger than these examples?

The same ladders keep going. Bedrooms run from a studio (+$20) to 8 or more (+$95), and bathrooms from 1 (+$25) to 8 (+$100), half baths included. Size bands are Cozy +$0, Spacious +$30, Large +$60 and Luxury +$90, and the largest band on the form covers homes up to 4,000 square feet. Every combination prices itself on the booking form before you pay.

Do first visits get the recurring discount?

Yes. The plan discount applies from the first visit, and as of September 25, 2026 the first-cleaning offer takes up to another 10% off that visit. A weekly Standard clean of the rowhome is $233.75 a visit, and $210.38 for the first one.

What happens if I cancel?

Rescheduling is free. Cancel more than 48 hours ahead and there is no fee, and the authorization hold on your card is released. Between 24 and 48 hours, the fee is $75. Under 24 hours, it is 50% of the total original booking value, and if a cleaner arrives and can't get in, it is 100% of the booking. Same-day bookings are paid in full upfront and aren't refundable once a cleaner is assigned.

The booking form builds this same receipt as you answer it and shows the exact total before you pay. Start a booking to see yours.
